ORGANIZER’S STATEMENT: This conference sought to develop an anthropological analysis of reproduction synthesizing issues of culture and power from both local and global perspectives. Collectively, symposium participants examined the multiple levels on which reproductive practices, policies, and politics depend, and incorporated multiple methodologies and subfield specialties in order to create a framework for integrative research and critical policy analysis in the study of human reproduction.
