The AIBR International Conference of Anthropology has become a traditional meeting for anthropologists from Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. This year we celebrate the 8th edition of the conference in the University of Salamanca, Spain, under the general theme ?Legacies?. The event will consider most human aspects related to time and history, past, present, and future. What is the legacy we are going to leave behind? What do we know about our history and inheritances? How are we going to address the crucial challenges that our generations are facing in relation to environmental threats or technological development? We live times of unprecedented challenges, in which humanity faces devastating pandemics, climate changes and political tensions. The technological revolution has led us to an extraordinary period of interconnection, but at the same time of an exceptional manipulation. In this context, we are being watched in a panoptical eye, by the memory of the generations to come. The conference will take place in the University of Salamanca, a charismatic place in Iberoamerican culture that has served as inspiring scenario of the most famous Hispanic narratives. We look forward feeling the charm, and the intense intellectual exchange that has always characterized the AIBR Conferences.
