Charafeddine Bulamah, Rodrigo (Rio de Janeiro, U. Estadual do) "Sharing Knowledge, Germinating Practices"The Anthropology of Science and Technology Meeting (ReACT) is the largest thematic meeting in Brazil and holds biannual meetings with an international scope. The meetings are organized by the Anthropology of Science and Technology Network, made up of research groups from various Brazilian universities. ReACT’s main objective is to bring together researchers from different parts of Brazil and the world, at different stages of their careers, promoting encounters between anthropological approaches to science and technology, in cross-cutting relationships with other knowledge and ways of knowing, beyond academia. ReACT has been held periodically since 2007 and registration is always free. The first meeting took place in Rio de Janeiro and, in its 10th edition, it will return to this city. The event will take place between June 9 and 13, 2025, at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). This year’s theme is “Sharing Knowledge, Germinating Practices”. In order to hold the meeting, we are looking for financial resources to make it possible to meet face-to-face with scholars whose knowledge addresses burning issues in the anthropological discipline, including indigenous and quilombola thinkers from different regions of Brazil, Australia, Latin America and the USA, among others.
