“Publishing Indigenous and Black Brazilian Anthropologists in Foreign Languages: A Vibrant Project” seeks to support the dissemination of academic work by Black and Indigenous Brazilian anthropologists through publication in Vibrant. Since its inception, the journal has maintained a policy of publishing in foreign languages to promote the internationalization of Brazilian anthropology. This project contributes to the ethnic and racial diversification of authors featured in a journal that holds a central place in both national and international anthropological debates. By making these voices accessible to a global audience, Vibrant aims to help address the persistent racial and ethnic inequalities in authorship across Brazil’s leading scientific journals. It also fosters international dialogue by building bridges between Indigenous and Black scholars in Brazil and their counterparts around the world.
