The Jornadas Nacionales de Antropología Biológica (JNAB, National Biological Anthropology Meeting) serves as a vital gathering for scholars in biological anthropology and related fields from across Argentina. The event also regularly welcomes participants from neighboring countries, Europe, and the United States, fostering a diverse exchange of knowledge. Attendees are engaged in both basic research and applied studies, contributing to a comprehensive overview of the discipline. This meeting not only highlights the current state of biological anthropology in Argentina but also sets the stage for exploring future directions, promoting collaboration, and strengthening ties with international professionals and institutions. Alongside the JNAB, it will be carried out the First Meeting on Data Systems and Biobanks in Latin America , as a satellite and complementary event designed to enrich the overall experience and expand its impact. The objective of this meeting is to discuss how different countries in the region address strategies to enhance research in biological anthropology with forensic, museological, or biomedical purposes through institutional biobanking initiatives and the articulation of large databases.
