The first step in writing for many English-language general audience outlets is “the pitch”—a short proposal to editors about what you would like to write. Learning the pitch is itself an important skill that is a necessary and important step in public writing. In this workshop, you will have the chance to learn the ins-and-outs of pitching, draft a pitch, receive feedback, and discuss popular writing strategies.
