The Wadsworth African Fellowships

Wadsworth African Fellowships provide funds to support African students wishing to study anthropology (including biological anthropology and archaeology) at a South African university. Fellowships are made for amounts up to $17,500 per year with the possibility of renewal for a total of four years of funding.

The Wadsworth African Fellowships are intended to provide support for African students undertaking study leading to a Ph.D. at a South African university that can provide them with international-level training in anthropology (including biological anthropology and archaeology). Currently applications to the University of Witwatersrand or The University of Cape Town are given priority.
